I've left.

As I sat on my seat on the plane, it slowly started to sink in. that moment in my own world, felt like those times when i sat at the backseat of the car after sending someone off at the airport. it felt like those times when i gazed into the freeway and the black night sky, hoping to spot a hiding group of twinkling stars or a distant airplane.

Its that feeling, of loneliness.

Though i blew an air kiss at the people who sent me off, though i smiled and waved as i went through the boarding gate, it was all with a heavy heart.

gosh will i miss the tropical weather in my home country.
gosh will i miss snuggling with the monkey behind a good movie on the laptop.
gosh will i miss the random mamak and shisha sessions found abundantly in ss15.
gosh will i miss losing in catan at meeples.
and GOSH, will i miss all my dear friends.

You can never be prepared. Year after year, I get bombarded with high expectations and well wishes from people who knew I would go. And I guess I knew it was just a matter of time. So I sucked it up, prepared to move on with life.


But like I said, you can never be prepared. for everything you left behind, and for that whole new world you're about to discover.

relaxing meet-ups,

Of renting bicycles and getting out of breath after 200meters.
Of never-ending up and down slopes that make me want to faint.
Of ribena, chipsmores, and handmade tuna and pepperoni sandwiches.
Of cycling under the rain.
Of a relaxing lunch by the lake.

All with, the one and only monkey.

One of the sweetest surprises i ever experienced.
A particular monkey came up from spore and i had no idea till he appeared in front of me with a bouquet of roses and a box of chocolates.
For the four years we had together.

Took me quite awhile to digest, haha.

Three years of learning and experiencing a different realm.
Three years of making new friends and learning more about each other.
Three years of laughter and pain.
Three years of fatigue, lack of sleep, and zombie moments.





Three years I wouldn't trade for any other.



And I'm done. :)
